GreenBag ID is a technology-enabled sustainability initiative designed to give participating reusable bags a unique digital identity and support verified reuse, engagement and end-of-life tracking.
Do I need to download an app? +
The initial Green Passport experience is designed for a mobile website or progressive web app that can open from a QR scan, without requiring a dedicated app download.
Will I earn rewards for reusing my bag? +
Rewards may be offered through participating retailers or approved campaigns. Eligibility, milestones and reward availability depend on the programme's terms and operational setup.
Does scanning the QR code count as reuse? +
No. A scan to view bag information is different from a verified shopping reuse. Reuse needs to be recorded through the programme's approved verification process.
Can businesses work with GreenBag ID? +
